How We Verify Reviews

What you read here is exactly what was posted on the brand's own storefront. This page explains where the reviews on Adorn Collective come from, how we keep them honest, and how to reach us about them.

1. Where our reviews come from

Adorn Collective is a curated marketplace: every product we carry is made and shipped by an independent beauty brand. The reviews shown on our product pages were written by that brand's own customers and originally published on the brand's own storefront — not collected by Adorn. Each review card opens with the line "Originally posted on [brand]" with a link to the original review, so the source is never hidden.

2. How reviews are updated

We sync reviews from each brand's storefront on a nightly schedule. New reviews appear here after the next sync; reviews removed at the source are removed here too. Brands can request a takedown of their reviews at any time and we honor those requests within 72 hours.

3. What we never modify

We import every available review for a product — positive and negative alike, with no filtering by star rating or sentiment. For each review we preserve, unchanged:

  • The star rating
  • The review title and body text, verbatim
  • The reviewer's display name (first name and last initial)
  • The original publication date on the brand's site

4. What we add

The only things Adorn adds to a review are attribution: the "Originally posted on [brand]" line with a link back to the original review, and a badge clarifying that the purchase was verified by the brand — not by Adorn. We never label a syndicated review as an Adorn purchase.

5. How to verify a review yourself

Click the source link on any review card. It takes you to the same review on the brand's own storefront, where you can confirm the rating, text, author, and date match what we display. That cross-store consistency is the point: you should be able to check our work.

6. Legal posture and contact

Our syndication practice is designed to comply with the FTC's Rule on Consumer Reviews and Testimonials (16 CFR Part 465): we import all reviews without sentiment filtering, we never misrepresent who wrote a review or where the purchase was verified, and the source attribution is displayed clearly and conspicuously on every review card.

If you wrote a review that appears on Adorn and want it corrected or deleted, or if you have any question about how your information is handled (including requests under GDPR Article 17, the right to erasure), email legal@adorncollective.net. We respond to deletion requests within 30 days, and removal at the brand's site is also picked up automatically by our nightly sync.
